THE JOURNEY OF MINISTRY THAT TURNED INTO A MISSION OF RESCUE
THE TEN STORIES THAT TALKS ABOUT THE TEN CHILDREN WHO STARTED AREK ISABEL HANDS INITIATIVE FOR KIDS UGANDA
My name is Pastor Timothy Nantamu

Four years ago I travelled from village to village preaching the gospel through the conference evangelism and crusades. It was during these journeys that God began to open my eyes to something I wasn’t prepared for: Children with no home, no food, no family yet full of faith in Christ Children with hope in their hearts and nothing in their Hands. Some of these children we met on the conference places, crusades sleeping under make shifts shelters. Others were brought to us local village leaders and state holders pleading with us to help these little ones who had been abandoned , Orphaned, or left behind by tragedy. Many of them had no shelters, no food and no one to call “mama” or “papa” But what they did have was faith Faith that someone would come Faith that God had not forgotten them

The Birth of our Orphan Ministry

We had little ourselves no rich sponsors no large donations But we had open aims a little space and a burning conviction that love is not about abundance its about sacrifice. So we welcomed them one by one into what would become our orphanage ministry. Not just a shelter but a place of prayers, care and spiritual family Till now some have joined secondary levels who were the fonders “ Nankwanga Mary,Kabugala Nulu”

Today they are our children

They sing worship. They pray boldly. And even when they sleep on the floor or share the same clothes, they smile with a hope mercy grown people have fast.
Today Nulu and Mary are not forgotten, and are helding secondary education, pursuing their dreams. “When children cry in worship it’s a heavens bell” BY Pastor Timothy Nantamu
Met in 2019 founders of the journey, daughters of the sorrow and songs It was during one of the conferences in 2019 that we met kabugala nulu and nankwanga mary two young girls whose voices carried a kind of pain that could only be born from deep suffering They were not brought to us They were there, sleeping at the very place we held the conference from. Their hearts clinging to the presence of God even though their bodies had no where safe place to rest They lived with their grandmother in a collapsed thatched house, With no parents and no one to support them, yet they had worship in their heart Their grandmother came and opened up soul to us, explaining that these girls had been through so much loss, both of their parents had died, and she, in her old age and poverty, could barely keep them clothed feed or protected. But they hold on the faith as if it was all they had left Because, in truth, it was What broke us was not just their story, it was, The way they sang. The little, girls singing worship songs with tears falling from their eyes, not for attention but from a place genuine God soaked pain That day they became the first seed, The founders of this mission, Their pain became our path, their songs became our call From the pain to purpose We knew from that moment that this ministry was not just about preaching, It was about becoming shelter to those who life has left out in the cold. Today Nulu and Mary are not forgotten, and are helding secondary education, pursuing their dreams. “When children cry in worship it’s a heavens bell” BY Pastor Timothy Nantamu.
Today they are no longer street boys they are sons of the house of God, part of the family, that sees them, feeds them and believe in the future of God
Met in 2019 abandoned alone and searching for light. We met Balikowa Franko and Kasironi Gefrey 12 years old boys on the street in 2019. They were not begging loudly they were just there quietly surviving in the world that. has taken everything from them. Both boys had already lost their mother and father, no extended family came for them, no one watching to pick them up or ask where they had slept the night before, streets had became their home, we did not have much we had a space in our heart, an d that is where the healing began, Today they are no longer street boys they are sons of the house of God, part of the family, that sees them, feeds them and believe in the future of God

In 2020, Shanitah and Richard lost both parents in a tragic road accident while on their for a burial, the pain did not end there not a single relative came to claim them, only one disabled relative, who was also a member of our church took them despite lacking resources When we had their story, our hearts broke. We knew this was not just a misfortune, it was a divine calling, we could not ignore the silent suffering of these children. With no shelter, no stability, and no hope around them, we chose to carry their burden. That is how they came into hands of support through the pain, through compassion and through Gods will. By pastor Namtamu Timothy
We met these three girls, Namadiba Rehema,Kubita Viora, and Konso Clare under the care of the kind woman named Bitamisi Catherine. Life had already dealt them a heavy blow. All of them had lost their parents and they were taken by Catherine, who had nothing, but a mercy heart. Like many women in Africa, Catherine was not working in any steady job. She struggled daily just to put food on the table. At times she had to choose feeding the children or herself. Their small house was enough to shelter them rain or heat, and they slept hungry many nights. Despite all this, she tried to give them love and guidance. But it was clear, she was breaking down, the burden was too big. When we found then the pain in their eyes spoke louder than words. Children were quiet tired and losing hope. They still had faith. That’s when we knew that God was calling us to step in. By pastor Timothy Nantamu

We met Mutesi vanisha when her life was full of pain, her father had died and after his death the family started fighting over the properties he left behind. This brought a lot of pressure in the home. Because of this above Vanisha’s mother decided to leave. She had no job and no support, yet she was left to care for the child alone. Life became very hard. Vanisha was still young but she was already facing deep pain with no one to help her when we found her we saw the sadness in her in her heart. She needed care, love and a place to call home. That is how she came into our hands of support. For help. By Pastor Namtamu Timothy
